How Lagosians feel about the NLC strike, other policy reforms

On Wednesday, we launched the Stears Approval Rating (SAR). The SAR takes the pulse of Lagosians to understand how they feel about past and present public policies, their current and future outlook, and whether they trust the government.

Specifically, the study included some questions to understand how people in Lagos perceive the government’s reforms like the removal of fuel (petrol) subsidy, exchange rate liberalisation, student loans legislation and steps the government should take to cushion the effects of the subsidy removal.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s (BAT) Monday, 31 July address to Nigerians acknowledged the current economic hardships triggered by the ongoing economic reforms. He outlined several initiatives and interventions his administration would roll out over six to eight months.
