Peach Payment Services Proprietary Limited (Peach Payments), a digital payments gateway headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa, has acquired PayDunya Services International SAS (PayDunya), a digital payments platform based in Dakar, Senegal, that operates across six Francophone West African countries: Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Benin, Burkina Faso, Togo, and Mali. Founded in 2015, PayDunya provides payment solutions for B2B clients, processing 70,000 transactions per day for companies such as Jeune Afrique and VFS Global. This acquisition allows Peach Payments to expand its footprint into the UEMOA and CEMAC regions, tapping into a growing e-commerce market in West and Central Africa. This acquisition marks the third transaction Peach Payments has participated in since the conclusion of its €29 million ($32 million) funding round in late 2023, which was led by Apis Growth Fund II (Apis Partners).
